Electricity North West (Construction and Maintenance) Limited (ENWCML) are excited to announce their partnership with Drax to offer Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging, Energy Procurement and Asset Optimisation as products to our customer base. We see the partnership as a strategic move to offer our customers products which we feel will assist them in their strive towards Net Zero carbon, whilst maintaining the highest levels of service, installation and health and safety.
As experts in Energy and EV markets, Drax is perfectly positioned to help organisations build upon their sustainability ambitions through fleet electrification and are therefore well placed to support ENWCML in delivering EV Solutions to our customers.
Through Drax’s retail businesses – Haven Power and Opus Energy, ENWCML are able to introduce the most competitive energy supply contracts which are supplied from fully renewable generators. This will enable our customers to have access to competitive energy supply contracts without the need to engage with third-party introducers, whilst benefiting from procuring energy supplied from sustainable sources.
In recognition of the UK’s Road to Net Zero Strategy to achieve Net Zero Carbon, ENWCML identified that EV Charging was going to form an integral part of the future of the energy landscape.
With the ban on producing Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) vehicles being brought forward to 2030, the ambitious targets set by the UK Government outline the speed at which we all need to make the transition. By partnering with Drax, it has allowed ENWCML to offer a best in class software service whilst being agnostic with the technology we install, making each project bespoke, available to qualify for the Workplace Charging Scheme grant via the Office for Low Emission Vehicle (OLEV) and Open Charge Protocol (OCPP) compliant.
Charles Hesketh, Market Strategy Manager at ENWCML comments on the partnership: “We are very pleased and excited to have partnered with Drax to offer EV charging to our customers base, it was key that we partnered with a business who has the same high standards and service levels which we set ourselves. We are confident that through this partnership we are able to offer the best possible solutions to our customers that are right for their needs today and future proofed for the expanding EV market.”
Paul George, Commercial Manager at Drax EV Comments: “We’re excited at the prospect of working in collaboration with ENWCML and its clients. It represents a clear opportunity for Drax to contribute to the fantastic work that’s already taking place across the North West in supporting the region’s decarbonisation agenda. The partnership will support local businesses on their strategic energy journey and to help them reach their targets & goals. The breadth and depth of the services available to clients will include 100% renewable electricity supply contracts, unique mechanisms to monetise on-site flexibility through to the installation and optimisation of EV Charging infrastructure”
