ENWCML Energy

Launched to take advantage of the growing distributed energy sector and to assist in the development and construction of projects which assist the shift from DNO (Distribution Network Operator) to DSO (Distribution System Operators).
The implementation of the DSO (Distribution System Operator) model will make it possible to maximise the integration of renewable energy sources and accelerate the decarbonisation of the economy, providing improved benefits to customers.
The DSO model will revolutionise the distribution of energy through digitalisation.
The traditional unidirectional model (Distribution Network Operator – DNO) of energy distribution, from high-voltage transmission networks to consumption points, is being transformed by the integration of renewable energy sources and energy decentralisation. The operation and management of these new resources requires a digital grid that is smart and flexible.

The Climate Change Act 2008 enshrines the UK’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 80% (compared to 1990 levels) before 2050 with several councils and boroughs in our region accelerating that target to 2038. This is a positive shift by the nation towards a low-carbon future, but it does raise a lot of questions about how we achieve these targets.
Many of our commercial and industrial customers have approached us to assist with attaining these targets, which is why we have formed ENWCML Energy.

We are here to help customers through the process of decarbonisation, whether that be through the access to energy efficient technologies, on site renewable generation or assessing existing energy consumption data. Understanding the process’ on our customers site and the energy they need to perform is fundamental to identifying the most effective measures to decarbonise their operations. We work with our customers to adopt their existing energy reduction strategies or help them create new ones to achieve the targets that have been set.
ENWCML Energy also work with third party developers to identify, develop, design and install flexible distribution generation projects. These plants are key to enabling the integration of intermittent renewable energy generators such as wind, solar and hydro. They provide power when there is a drop in supply or increase in demand, helping maintain the grids frequency.
